kurt batman pellegrinoKurt Pellegrino was recently interviewed by The Fight Card, and the popular (yet under-promoted) UFC lightweight had some straight words regarding fellow 155’er Joe Lauzon.

Lauzon posted a fairly dominant victory over Jeremy Stephens at Fight Night 17 this past Saturday, while Pellegrino took care of Rob Emerson. Both wins are each man’s respective second in a row.

Will we see these two talented fighters clash in 2009? I’d certainly hope so…

Kurt: “He doesn’t really impress me. He’s a good jiu-jitsu fighter. I didn’t think he was a main event fighter on that card. That would be one of the fights I would like to have if the UFC would ever give me one. Not taking anything away from [him]. If he catches me in a submission, man, good for him.

…I think he has really wild hands. You always have to watch out for his submissions. I’d like to try and contain those submissions. I don’t think Joe Lauzon is a bad fighter, not one bit.”
