A slew of updates to the UFC Fight Night 21 event have been announced via UFC’s official website and rumors of potential bouts are being talked about in rapid fire fashion as the card fills out.
While light heavyweights Brandon Vera and Jon Jones handle headlining duties, heavyweight contender Junior dos Santos (10-1) and inconsistent Gabriel Gonzaga (15-4) will fight in the co-main slot. Junior has finished off all four of his opponents by (T)KO since joining the UFC and is coming off another knockout win over Gilbert Yvel. On the flip side, Gabriel won also won his most recent fight by blasting opponent Chris Tuchscherer in the crotch but has dropped three of his previous five.
A welcome addition to the line-up is another light heavyweight match between Eliot Marshal (8-2) and Vladimir Matyushenko (23-4). Both men won decisions in their last Octagon outings and will be looking to break into the mid-tier mix leading to a potential contender spot.
UFC Fight Night 21 will take place in Broomfield, Colorado (airing in Versus) and the rumored fight card in full is as follows:
