UFC covering Corey Hill’s medical bills after “Fight for the Troops” leg break
Just as the headline states, UFC President Dana White confirmed with Steve Cofield (Yahoo! MMA) that the fight promotion will be has taken care of and will be taking care of lightweight fighter Corey Hill’s medical expenses. Hill suffered a horrible leg break at the shin, after a kick he threw was checked by opponent Dale Hartt.
“Corey Hill is still in the hospital. He had surgery, they put a plate in his leg. We paid for all that. We covered all those expenses. He’ll go into rehab, we’ll pay for that too.”
Across the vast span of the Internet there have been plenty of UFC “haters” crying out on behalf of fighters they personally have no connection with, as to the mythical lack of medical help when injuries are sustained in the Octagon.
This Corey Hill example of is proof positive that not only does the UFC put on great shows, but they do great things as well.
