Lost I believe is the perfect word to describe BJ's situation inside the cage with GSP on Saturday night. It'll be good to see "The Prodigy" return to 155 lbs and take on the man who should have gotten a title shot months ago (but couldn't, due to BJ's arrogance), the dangerous Kenny Florian.

Mr. St. Pierre is clearly a substantially more skilled and disciplined fighter than is Mr. Penn - so the UFC 94 fight result is no particular surprise. Suffice to say that GSP delivered a comprehensively dominant performance, a suffocating and punishing blizzard of vice-like grapples, muscular throwdowns, piercing jabs and jackhammer head slaps and punches. It was a clean and wicked thrashing, leaving BJ looking somehow old, small, bedraggled and lost. George is one of the best fighters in the world, if not THE best. By contrast BJ, a talented man, may be done unless he can learn to focus exclusively on the fight directly ahead of him, within his weight class, and can divest himself of both his propensity for vacation-style lassitude and the noisy gaggle of mooning sycophants, obsequious yes-men and hat-holding errand boys he seems to need as his personal Linus's blanket.
