DALLAS — HDNet Fights announced today that it has agreed to a long-term partnership with World Victory Road to exclusively air the Sengoku Mixed Martial Arts promotion on HDNet. The deal marks the first time that the promotion’s events will be seen in their entirety in North America.
In 2009, HDNet will feature 25 events from Asia alone, due to the network’s partnerships with World Victory Road, DREAM, K-1, and K-1 MAX.

The results are in from World Victory Road’s seventh event of Sengoku, dubbed “no Ran” (no rebellion). The fights took place at a popular spot for MMA events in Japan; the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

World Victory Road has announced the “finalized” fight card for their upcoming event, “Sengoku 6″. The fights will be held at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on November 1, 2008.
A notable addition to the line-up is light-heavyweight fighter Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will be taking on Moise Rimbon. Nogueira is the brother of interim heavyweight UFC champion Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira, who is coaching the current 8th season of The Ultimate Fighter.

It has been reported by MMAweekly.com that both top Japanese MMA promotions DREAM and World Victory Road, have expressed interest in having former UFC heavyweight champion Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia fight for them.
Sylvia’s long-time manager Monte Cox confirmed DREAM and WVR are pushing to have Tim fight very soon, but also stated that the two have plans to set up a January match with either Paul Buentello or Roy Nelson at Affliction’s next show.
