UFC 107 delivered in big ways this past Saturday night but it was the main event which likely blew most of us away. After Mir’s embarrassment of Cheick Kongo (which I had a feeling about) and Kenflo submitting The Carpenter, fans geared themselves up to see champ BJ Penn go to work against challenger Diego Sanchez.
To say “The Prodigy” turned in a great fight would be an understatement. His brilliance against Sanchez is already being considered by many (Mike Goldberg being one) as his best performance at 155 lbs.

Welcome 6th Rounders, to my picks and predictions for UFC 107. “Penn vs. Sanchez” will air Saturday night via Pay-per-view (in the US) beginning at 10:00 p.m. EST (under card on Spike at 9). This card features a main event title fight between lightweights BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez. A solid line-up calls for solid picks, right? Whether you agree or disagree, leave your thoughts by commenting.

The official weigh-ins for UFC 107: “Penn vs. Sanchez” took place yesterday in Vegas and the scale was, well…a little sketchy. Several fighters weighed in heavy by a half pound, full pound, etc.
Some fans chanted for the scale to be fixed (as it was indeed likely off by a bit) but eventually those who were heavy had stripped down and/or cut more water weight and made the cut off points.

UFC Heavyweight slugger Todd Duffee burst onto the scene with a record-breaking* knockout of Tim Hague at UFC 102 but has been force to withdraw from his second fight in the Octagon due to injury.
Duffee was scheduled to fight knockout artist Paul Buentello at UFC 107: “Penn vs. Sanchez” later this year and has been training in his new home of Las Vegas.
