Joe Riggs returns against Louis Taylor at Strikeforce Challengers on August 13 in Arizona

Phoenix, Ariz. (July 8, 2010) - Phoenix native and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star Joe “Diesel” Riggs will headline a stacked STRIKEFORCE Challengers event from Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Ariz., when he takes on knockout artist Louis Taylor at a catch weight of 182 pounds in the main event on Friday, Aug. 13, LIVE on SHOWTIME at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast).

Stikeforce Challengers: “Lindland vs. Casey” fight results, Lindland and Woodley victorious

Newly turned 40-year-old Matt “The Law” Lindland sent the raucous Portland MMA fans home with smiles on their faces as he battered “King” Kevin Casey with a barrage of punches in a fight stopped at 3:41 in the third round, earning Lindland his first Strikeforce Challengers win on Friday night on SHOWTIME.

Strikeforce shows true colors with absymal CBS event, major ramifications on horizon

It was the brawl seen around the 2.3-million-viewership world. After a win over Dan Henderson, middleweight champ Jake Shields’ camp jumped and beat on a fellow fighter - unprovoked and unwarranted. On one hand Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has an utterly embarrassing show and on the other the man has television ratings which are taking steady nose dives. Matt Lindland to fight on Strikeforce Challengers main card, May 21 in home state

PORTLAND (April 12, 2010): Middleweight (185 pounds) Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) superstar and former Olympic wrestling silver medalist Matt “The Law” Lindland (21-7) will return to the cage in the main event of a STRIKEFORCE Challengers event at Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon on Friday, May 21.
