As one would expect from an event that had two “Fight of the Night” bouts, there have been some medical suspensions handed out to some of the fighters from this past Saturday’s UFC 116 event.
If cleared by a doctor prior to the end of suspension period, a fighter may resume training and fight in competition. The list of suspensions includes:
Krzysztof Soszynski: must have his left thumb cleared by doctor or suspended until Dec. 31; minimum suspension runs until Sept. 2 with no contact until Aug. 18

UFC held a hugely successful event over the weekend with 116: “Lesnar vs. Carwin” living up to and surpassing all expectations for the stacked line-up.
