Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will begin training for Machida rematch in January

Current UFC #1 light heavyweight contender Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has stated he will begin training for his upcoming rematch with current champ Lyoto Machida in January. The two first met back at UFC 104 but the split decision win for Machida was highly controversial and a second meeting was announced soon after.
Machida vs. Shogun 2 is now set for May 1st in Montreal, Canada and the former PRIDE star is ready for action.

Breaking down the UFC 97: “Redemption” main card fights

As much as I thought UFC 97 may not receive much press due to it being outside of the States and not having the most intriguing main event, there has still been significant buzz. I suppose we can accredit that to Anderson Silva’s drawing power.
