Strikeforce Challengers (ShoMMA): “Santos vs. Villasenor” LIVE fight results & winners, June 19

Are…you…ready, for Strikeforce Challengers!? The fighters are set to take stage tonight from Kent, Washington and into television sets around the country via Showtime. We also welcome all of our visitors from Brazil, UK, Canada, France, Russia, China and beyond.
6th-Round.com will be providing live fight results beginning with the under card at approximately 9:30 p.m. EST and main card fights kicking off at 11 p.m. EST.

Previewing this weekend’s Strikeforce Challengers: “Santos vs. Villasenor” event

This Friday night will mark the return of the Strikeforce Challengers series (aka ShoMMA) as the popular west coast-based promotion heads north to Kent, Washington where hard hitting fighters “Smokin” Joe Villasenor takes on Chute Boxe product Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos in the main event.
Villasenor recently enjoyed some limelight after scoring several wins in the now defunct Elite XC promotion, yet has had to sit on the sidelines for a year and is itching to continue his win streak.
For Santos, a win would mean regaining momentum after losing his last match …

Strikeforce announces Devela vs. Rockhold for June 19 ShoMMA Challengers event

NEW YORK (May 26, 2009)-Rising stars Cory “The One” Devela (9-2) and Luke Rockhold (4-1) will face off with each other in a middleweight (185 pound) battle at the Strikeforce Challengers mixed martial arts (MMA) event at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington on Friday, June 19.

Jorge Gurgel must reinvent against Conor Heun at ShoMMA on June 19

Jorge Gurgel is hands down one of my favorite fighters. Fellow writers Adam D. and Tommy H. will tell you though, that Jorge also frustrated me to no end during his time in the UFC.
Gurgel’s a ground wizard with world class BJJ skills yet loves to stand up with his opponents, rather successfully at that.
