Welcome 6th Rounders, to my picks and predictions for UFC 107. “Penn vs. Sanchez” will air Saturday night via Pay-per-view (in the US) beginning at 10:00 p.m. EST (under card on Spike at 9). This card features a main event title fight between lightweights BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez. A solid line-up calls for solid picks, right? Whether you agree or disagree, leave your thoughts by commenting.
As a lead writer here, there’s a certain “responsibility” for making quality peeks into the future. That being said, anything can (and does) happen …

The official weigh-ins for UFC 107: “Penn vs. Sanchez” took place yesterday in Vegas and the scale was, well…a little sketchy. Several fighters weighed in heavy by a half pound, full pound, etc.
Some fans chanted for the scale to be fixed (as it was indeed likely off by a bit) but eventually those who were heavy had stripped down and/or cut more water weight and made the cut off points.

A heavyweight collision between contenders Frank Mir and Cheick Kongo has been confirmed for the upcoming UFC 107 event in Memphis, Tenn. The fight will likely bolt one of the men back into contention, but both are coming off recent losses at UFC 99 (Kongo to Velasquez) and 100 (Mir to Lesnar).

Two talented contenders in the UFC’s heavyweight division will possibly meet at 107 on December 19th in Memphis, Tennessee. Cheick Kongo (14-5-1) is reportedly in talks to face Frank Mir (12-4).
Both men are coming off disappointing losses inside the Octagon with Mir having been TKO’d by champ Lesnar and Kongo suffering a brutal three round battering at the hands of Cain Velasquez. Although Kongo is not a fan favorite, the clash would serve well as a co-main event due to the contrast in their strong points.
