Dan Miller off Fight Night 19, replaced by UFC newcomer Jay Silva

UFC middleweight Dan Miller (11-2) will no longer be competing on the upcoming “Fight Night 19″ card. Originally scheduled to fight Miller was TUF 7 contestant C.B. Dollaway (8-2), who will now face Octagon newcomer Jay Silva (5-0).
Dollaway looks to rebound from an tough loss in his last outing which came against fellow TUF 7 castmate Tom Lawlor. The defeat came by way of guillotine choke just 55 seconds into the first round. He’ll need to employ his strong wrestling base come September 16, as Silva is an explosive fighter …

Phillipe Nover set to replace Kyle Bradley against Sam Stout at Fight Night 19

We had reported earlier last week that TUF 8 Finalist (lightweight) Phillipe Nover would likely be making his next appearance inside the Octagon this fall. Shortly thereafter, we also learned that the talented 155 lbs.’er may step in for the injured Kyle Bradley at UFC Fight Night 19 and relayed the possible news via our Twitter account.
It is now being reported that Nover has accepted the fight with Stout on four weeks notice. He will look to rebound from a flash TKO loss to none other than Bradley back at …

UFC Fight Night 19 the best yet with 10 official fights

UFC Fight Night 19 has shaped up to be quite arguably the best event yet in the promotion’s free-on-Spike series. This particular card will act as lead-in prior to the premier of The Ultimate Fighter season 10, on Sept. 16 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

Don’t let the door hit you: Roger Huerta faces Gray Maynard at Fight Night 19

Roger Huerta (20-2-1) will face highly ranked UFC lightweight contender Gray “The Bully” Maynard (7-0-1) at Fight Night 19. To the average fan, this appears as a great opportunity for ESPN cover boy Huerta to get right back in the mix at 155 lbs following his loss to Kenny Florian.
What many may not be aware of though, is that the undefeated Maynard has flown under the radar and steadily climbed the ladder towards a title shot while Huerta has recently refused a contract extension.
