While both fighters possess crisp boxing, Maynard has the wrestling edge while Diaz has dangerous Gracie Jiu Jitsu. I expect this to be a back and forth battle going all over the Octagon and being decided by who can outmatch who on the ground. After a loss in the TUF 8 Finale to lightweight winner Efrain Escudero, Phillipe Nover’s first off-show assignment in the UFC was Kyle Bradley back at 98: “Evans vs. Machida”.
