Dustin Hazelett is likely a happy man right now, a change from mere weeks ago. His previously scheduled bout with Karo Parisyan was canceled after Parisyan flaked before the weigh-ins. The fight would have been “McLovin’s” return to action after a year of rehabbing a knee ligament injury/surgery. In the end, Karo was banned from the organization (as his laundry list of excuses and drug problems mounted) and Dustin was paid his show/win money by Dana White and Co. but all the promising welterweight truly wanted was a return to …

For those who patronized UFC 91, you certainly got your money’s worth. Pay-per-view subscribers were able to see each and every fight from both the main card and under card, something that rarely happens. Stephens, Hazelett, Riley and Gurgel all earned bonuses for their brilliance in the octagon.
This can be attributed to the brilliant line-up of fighters delivering fantastic performances. The night could be described as technically brutal, in a truly exciting fashion.

The monstrous Brock Lesnar, of former WWE fame, did what he set out to do against 11 year MMA veteran Randy “The Natural” Couture. Tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Lesnar defeated Couture in the second round to become the new UFC heavyweight champ of the world. I guess 50 Cent was right after all, hunh?
