UFC 116: “Lesnar vs. Carwin” fight results & winners

UFC held a hugely successful event over the weekend with 116: “Lesnar vs. Carwin” living up to and surpassing all expectations for the stacked line-up.
Heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar defended his belt against Shane Carwin in an awe-inspiring second round comeback, man of steel Chris Leben scored his biggest career victory by submitting Yoshihiro Akiyama with seconds remaining in the third round of their middleweight clash and many more main and under card moments became instant classics.

New episode of UFC Unleashed features Guida vs. Gugerty, Schaub vs. Gormley

Two fights that Versus viewers/UFC fans were unable to catch this past Sunday will now air this evening on Spike TV.
Clay Guida’s impressive submission win over Shannon Gugerty and Brendan Schaub’s dominant knockout of Chase Gormley were talked about after news broke via Twitter and MMA blogs prior to the main card. A slew of updates to the UFC Fight Night 21 event have been announced via UFC’s official website and rumors of potential bouts are being talked about in rapid fire fashion as the card fills out.

Monday Marinade: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale via Spike edition

The tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter is now history and we have a new TUF winner in Roy “Big Country” Nelson. While the veteran heavyweight was successful in spectacular fashion with a knockout punch, the same cannot be said for the evening’s production as a whole.

Roy “Big Country” Nelson defeats Brendan Schaub, becomes The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 winner

Fans tonight in attendance at The Palms in Vegas saw a new TUF winner crowned as former IFL champion Roy “Big Country” Nelson was victorious over Brendan Schaub.
Nelson began to find a home for his right hand counter to Schaub’s jab and it eventually scored him a powerful knockout in the first round. The loss for Schaub is the first of his pro career and it was clear that the “L” was hard to take for cornermen Rashad Evans and Greg Jackson.
