Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Rashad Evans UFC 96 title fight NOT on horizon (updated)

UPDATE: Keith Jardine will be taking on Rampage at UFC 96.
As we predicted would very well be a potential fight within the first three months of 2009, it is heavily rumored that Rashad Evans will be making his first title defense against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 96.
Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on March 7 could see these two light-heavyweights go at it, regardless of the fact that they both fought on the same UFC 92 card and activity at 96 would be a sub-nine week return to the Octagon.
The fight, which could draw huge numbers, would be billed as the headliner.
