Pellegrino pulls from TUF 10 Finale, while Alexander fight with “Kimbo” likely
The injuries just keep on coming today. We reported earlier the loss of Thiago Alves from UFC 107, and now we can apparently scratch Kurt Pellegrino from his scheduled fight with Frankie Edgar.
The two lightweight contenders were expected to square off at The Ultimate Fighter season 10 Finale in December, but Edgar announced via Twitter that the UFC is seeking a replacement opponent. While this match is on the rocks (although Matt Veach is rumored to be stepping in), an addition is in the air with Houston Alexander rumored to be facing Kimbo Slice at the same event.
Kevin Ferguson, better known as Kimbo, lost in the first round of his attempt at winning the UFC’s reality show tournament but will get a second shot at establishing himself against “The Assassin”. The two could meet at light heavyweight although each have most recently fought at heavyweight.
