The young man known as “The Young Assassin” was seemingly turning things around for himself recently. With a recent 36 second knockout of Dennis Siver at UFC 86, Melvin Guillard (4-3 UFC) was once again creating a buzz at 155 lbs, All that has now changed, and the UFC lightweight fighter has found himself arrested and back in the Harris County Jail in Houston, TX, as of August 13th, according to Sherdog.com.

Guillard had been arrested for possession of a controlled substance back in 2007, the same year in which he was soundly disposed of by Joe Stevenson and Rich Clementi, tested positive for cocaine, fined and suspended for eight months.

When a transfer is possible and made ready, Guillard will be sent to a drug treatment center upon leaving jail. I guess we now know the reason why Spencer Fisher will face Shannon Gugerty instead of Melvin, hunh?
