Mark Coleman to no longer “Hammer” Tito Ortiz at UFC 106?
A co-headline UFC 106 light heavyweight bout between former champs Tito Ortiz and Mark Coleman is apparently not happening. Ortiz posted to his Twitter account last night that he will be looking for a new opponent to fight on Nov. 21.
Coleman, coleman, coleman to bad he sissies out!!! Who’s next??? I’m kicking someone’s ass on Nov 21st! - Ortiz
No word yet on if this is official, as the fight is still showing on the UFC’s website as scheduled for 106. If indeed Coleman has pulled out, it’s a loss for the card but open the door for even better matches.
Rashad Evans is rumored to be facing Thiago Silva later this year but would be best placed in fight such as one with Ortiz. The rematch factor coupled with Rashad’s coming out of TUF 10 and both men sharing recent losses to Machida make for a soaring amount of fan interest.
We’ll keep you posted on developments.
