UFC 100 has just received another boost to its already fast-developing, historic fight card. Talented lightweights Mac Danzig (18-6-1) and Jim Miller (13-2) will meet in the Octagon on July 11, on the preliminary portion of the evening.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 winner Danzig has lost four of his last six fights, most recently dropping two bouts to Clay Guida (decision) and Josh Neer (submission). He now finds himself in a must-win situation, and matchmaker Joe Silva has handed Mac another tough challenge in Jim Miller.
Miller was riding an eight fight win streak before losing to Gray Maynard at UFC 96, and has looked impressive even in defeat. When coming into the UFC, Jim took out David Baron via submission, and marched on to a dominant decision victory over a game Matt Wiman.
The UFC 100 list of bouts is rapidly growing, and was recently updated with several confirmed matches. Tickets go on sale in the near future, and the event is expected to be the biggest in the organization’s history.
