UFC lightweights Josh Neer and Kurt Pellegrino will both look to increase their rising stocks in the loaded 155 lbs. division as they plan to meet in the Octagon on August 5th.
According to MMATraining.com, both fighters have agreed to the bout and it will be finalized in the near future.
I’ve long been a fan of Pellegrino and remember well his bloody win over Thiago Tavares live, at UFC 88 in Atlanta. He also recently took out Rob Emerson in solid fashion.
Neer lost a high profile contender match with Nate Diaz last year, but rebounded by submitting TUF 6 winner Mac Danzig earlier this year.
This is a match-up to keep your eyes on, as it holds the key for one of the men to potentially break into the division’s true upper echelon.
