jesse taylorFormer TUF 7 contestant and UFC castaway Jesse “JT Money” Taylor has been approved by the CSAC to compete this Saturday night at Strikeforce’s Aug. 15 event.

Taylor will be stepping in for Nick Diaz, and is scheduled to fight Extreme Couture’s Jay Hieron. Hieron would have been battling for the first ever Strikeforce welterweight title if Diaz would have shown for his drug test but being that he did not, the bout against Taylor will be a non-title affair.

Taylor’s claim to moderate fame came from his stint on The Ultimate Fighter however he found himself booted from the world’s best MMA promotion for his bad behavior on two occasions. Most notably, JT kicked the window out of a limo in Vegas and harassed female patrons of a casino while heavily intoxicated. Since losing his last fight in the UFC to fellow TUF 7 cast member C.B. Dollaway, he has gone on a seven fight win streak.
