strikeforce houstonWelcome 6th Rounders, to my picks and predictions for Strikeforce. “Houston” will air Saturday night via Showtime. This card features a main event title match between light heavyweights Lawal and Cavalcante. A solid line-up calls for solid picks, right? Whether you agree or disagree, leave your thoughts by commenting.

As lead writer here, there’s a certain responsibility for making quality peeks into the future. That being said, anything can (and does) happen in mixed martial arts. With an overall 269-176 thus far since our launch, let’s get into how I see the action inside the cage going down from H-town.

*(winners are in bold)

Results: 2-2

Muhammed Lawal vs. Rafael Cavalcante: Cavalcante via decision
Tim Kennedy vs. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza: Souza by submission, Round 1
Jorge Gurgel vs. K.J. Noons: Gurgel by submission, Round 2
Chad Griggs vs. Bobby Lashley: Lashley via decision
