Eddie Goldman, the No Holds Bored loon

Eddie Goldman hosts “No Holds Barred Radio” and feels strongly that mixed martial arts in America is the dumbest sport in the country. Yes you heard me right, the man who has been described as “the Internet king” by Don King (birds of a feather flock together, eh?), plugs his latest show as the following…

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman discusses the devolution of mixed martial arts into becoming one of the dumbest, if not the dumbest, sports in America.

Among the issues raised in this no holds barred commentary are how this sport was once a brilliant laboratory and school where discussion of technique was the order of the day, the imitation of the vulgar fake pro “wrestling” by UFC, the hatred of grappling by EliteXC which eventually led to the self-destruction of that company, the preposterous idea by Affliction of a creating a “reality” show to find an opponent for top heavyweight and pound-for-pound MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko, the continued reliance on the technologically obsolete pay-per-view television model, and more.

Give me a break! In the episode, Goldman is quick to show his love for the one-dimensional fights of yesteryear and lob heaps of criticism onto today’s well-rounded athletes. For him to compare the UFC and Elite XC, is preposterous and downright disgusting.

Eddie… the modern, more improved MMA world suggests you queue up your VHS of early, illegal NHB matches and live quietly in the past.

>> If you can stand it, check out Eddie’s dim corner of the ‘net, here at his blog where the podcasts may also be found. Be sure to let him know how you feel about him insulting the wonderful evolution of a pure sport.

Dude, his face alone scares me, let alone what he has to say about anything, including MMA.
