Carlos Condit injured, unable to fight Paul Daley at UFC 108
Though we haven’t yet officially said it, we’ll say it now. UFC 108 is unfortunately cursed through and through and just cannot shake its perpetual misfortune.
Yet another blow to the already damaged end-of-year fight card has been suffered. Co-main event fighter Carlos Condit will be unable to meet fellow welterweight Paul “Semtex” Daley as he is reported as injured (hand).
Having gone through a slew of rearrangements to make up for injuries to originally scheduled fighters, 108 was in need of this particular fight to support the main event of Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva. We do not yet know if Daley will still compete against a replacement opponent but it is a strong possibility with time enough between now and Jan. 2 to conjure up a game 170 pounder.
