anderson silvaLooks as though current UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva still has a fire burning inside him… for pro boxing.

The dominant striker with solid ground skills talked with the Brazilian site Tatame.com and shared his thoughts on a variety of industry news, including his own career.

BOXING…

Randy’s loss to Brock…

“I was cheering for (Randy) Couture, but unfortunately he took a foolish punch. That guy (Brock Lesnar) is very strong, but (Couture) needs to come back training and fight again.”

If Nogueira faces Lesnar…

“‘Minotauro’ is training hard. Despite of we haven’t been training together yet, because I’m here in United States and he’s in Brazil, we hope he wins that.”

Leites open to fighting Maia…

“It’s nice, each one showing your job, that they are running after an opportunity. This is important, I’m always cheering they can win, they are Brazilians.”

Silva also mentioned he turned down a potential UFC 95 fight with Chuck Liddell.
