Amir Sadollah has unfortunately been forced to back out of his scheduled showdown in the octagon against Nick Catone, with a leg infection. Amir was set to face Nick at UFC 91: “Couture vs. Lesnar”. It would have been his first pro fight since winning The Ultimate Fighter season 7, in which he ousted predictors’ favorite C.B. Dollaway via armbar at the TUF 7 finale.

This is a disappointing loss to what is still a great fight card. Although I was obviously bummed to hear of the native Virginian’s withdrawal, there’s a silver lining. I’ve personally expressed some confusion as to welterweight young guns Dustin Hazelett and Tamdan McCrory not having originally been scheduled for the main card.

Well, it appears that now my wish for these two scrappers to make the telecast may come true, according to an official statement on UFC.com. I wish it didn’t have to happen this way, but hopefully Sadollah and Catone will meet later………perhaps at 92? Talk about explosive (92) potentially turning into pure MMA pyrotechnics.
