Current WAMMA heavyweight champ and widely ranked #1 pound for pound fighter Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko (30-1) will seemingly face fellow Affliction heavyweight Josh Barnett (24-5) at the promotion’s third show, this summer.

According to a report by MMA Fanhouse, the event and fight card could be officially announced within the next few days.

It is expected that the show will be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. A slew of exciting fighters under contract with Affliction could make their return to the ring, including Tim Sylvia and Paul Buentello. “The Headhunter” confirmed the match-up with Sylvia during a recent interview with Aaron Tru.
